These crispy air fryer sweet potato cubes are the perfect side dish. Quick and easy to make we love these tasty cubes as a side dish, added to salads or as a delicious snack.
2mediumsweet potatoespeeled then cut into 1 inch cubes
1tablespoonlight olive oil
1 heaped tspdried oregano
½teaspoonsmoked paprika
¼teaspoongarlic powder
⅛teaspoonfreshly ground sea salt+ more for serving
⅛teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper+ more for serving
Instructions
Peel the sweet potatoes then cut them into one-inch cubes.
Add the oil, dried oregano, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper to a large mixing bowl and mix well.Add the sweet potato cubes to the bowl and toss well ensuring that all the cubes are covered in the oil and herbs.
Tip half the sweet potatoes into the air fryer basket. Make sure they are in an even layer on the air fryer grate.Cook for 10 minutes at 200°C / 400°F. Halfway through cooking give the basket a shake then return the basket to the air fryer.To check that the potatoes are cooked use a sharp knife to pierce a couple of cubes. The knife should go through the potato easily.Repeat for the remaining sweet potatoes.
Notes
Cook Time - cook time will vary depending on the size of the cubes. Larger cubes will take longer, and smaller cubes will be cooked in less time. If you're not sure check the sweet potato cubes after 8 minutes.
Air Fryer - I use a basket-style Ninja Max air fryer with a 4 L capacity.
